AE genrates M4V instead of MP4

Forced to upgrade on line to the latest version of AE.in our institution.

Now when sending a composition to the render cue it no longer generates an MP4. Instead it is always an M4V.which does not open Renaming the M4V extension to MP4 does not make any difference. This is puzzling because the output path definitely says it is going out as an MP4.

What's going on?. How can I make it do what is used to do?

Apologies everyone for the delay. Been away from the computer.

Anyway, solved!. Turns out that overnight encoding was interrupted by another user so it did not complete. It appears AE encodes to M4V first then converts to MP4 on completion.

We're sorry about your issue. I understand you are using Adobe Media Encoder for exporting your After effects projects. Please share the screenshot of your export settings. Here are two screenshots. Please check if the Format selected is correct.
