Bevel Transparency Question

Hello,
I had a question regarding how the Layer Style 'Bevel and Emboss' works and how it spans over multiple compositions. As you can see in 'AE Picture 1' below, I just have normal text with no effects sitting on top of a background particle video. That text layer is in its own composition, and that composition is sitting inside the composition in the picture called "MAIN COMP - I SEE THE LIGHT". I then used the Screen mode to combine the layers of the "MAIN COMP - I SEE THE LIGHT" composition, with the background particle video.

In 'AE Picture 2', it's the same photo, but the text composition (which is nested inside the "MAIN COMP - I SEE THE LIGHT" composition) has a Bevel Layer Style applied to it. However, there's a bit of transparency to it as you can see. Is there a reason why it would be slightly transparent? Is it something to do with the multiple compositions not compositing the bevel correctly?

I would assume the text should look like 'AE Picture 3' (where there's no transparency), but it's not. Anyone have any knowledge on this? Thanks all!

I see you already use a screen blending mode so try to remove this and see if this can help you

Screenshots that don't show us the modified properties of the layers that are giving you problems are not much good. Nesting a comp (pre-composing) has nothing to do with the look. It's all about the settings. Select the layer, press the U key twice to reveal everything you changed on the layer and show us that. It's a lot easier to see the images if you post them to the forum and I usually don't go to links that I don't recognize.

Sure! The photo of the U key twice is at the bottom. I tried to lay out the composition for you so you could see how it is set up. Basically, I'm using a slice effect to cut through text. The animation will be a beam of light coming through and slicing into the text. All the extra layers are various pieces that create different aspects of the effect. And again, I'm just trying to stop that slight transparency of the text that is present in the main composition (first photo).
