bug on showing layer controls on comp viewer

Hello, sorry for my english i'm french..

Since i made the new after effect update, i have a serious issue and i can't figure out how to change it.
After few minutes working on any AE project, my layer outlines (nulls, masks, shape layers and any layers borders) disapear sometimes blinking as i moove my pointer, sometimes completly.

"SHOW LAYER OUTLINES" option is still on..

It's annoying because i can't work anymore with masks, move nulls by hand, and see my shape layers..

I erased my disk cache and clean database but didn't work.

I reinstalled After effect and i feel like it was ok for longer than when i just restart AE. But then it was back to this problem.

I didn't erase my preferences when i delete After effect before reinstalling, so i don't know if this is about it..

Does anyone has an idea?
Sanks a lot for reading

Correct answer Roland Kahlenberg

But Roland anyway, on this cc17 version of AE the problem still happens so i don't really want to use it more than cc18. The only version working without the probleme is CS6

This is very likely a graphics card/driver issue. I should have asked you on this matter much earlier. Have you updated your graphics card's driver? And which graphics card are you using?

Have you ensured you have the latest drivers for your graphics card?

If you tried disabling GPU acceleration in the Project Settings Dialog panel?

Try these - one step at a time

1) Try deleting your prefs.

2) Ensure you have the latest drivers for your graphics card.

3) Disable hardware acceleration in AE's Project Settings

If your problem persists, post screen grabs of your Preferences' Previews and Display settings.
