Chainsaw animation in After Effects

Hi Adobe Community,

I hope you're well.

I've been asked to create a chainsaw animation using a layered PSD and I was looking for what' would be the best option to animate the chain which I've clipped out and put on it's on its own layer in PS.

Impossible to say much without seeing your artwork, but chances are it's not going to be as simple as using your cout out. Such stuff typically requires to re-create the actual chain in some form as separate segments that can be moved, bent and placed for animation.
