Is this no longer included in AE?  Opened 2018 project in 2019, and it says Color Finesse is missing.  ;(

Yep they got rid of Finesse in thist release. In changelog we can read:

  • After Effects does not include the Synthetic Aperture Color Finesse plug-in.

What a pity - legacy projects broken.

And Lumetri is nice for applying prefab looks, but by far not as convenient as Color Finesse for grading.

The interface of Color Finess is much clearer - for Lumteri we are folding and unfolding all the time for simple corrections.

Lumetri has some issues with other effects - it interferes with deformation fx.

If someone was heavily dependant on Colour Finesse in his work it is still possible because Finesse just disapeared from AE but is still avaliable as a plugin: https://www.syntheticaperture.com/products/color-finesse-3-0-pi-for-mac

What's next? Remove all the CC plug-ins?

This is a real shame. Color Finesse is a very powerful and underused/underrated plugin.

Plugin is not dead so it is not a shame. Plugin just is not a part of AE anymore (but you can buy it and use it in AE) - probably because of being underused/underrated as you said and because Adobe built Lumetri Color panels.

haven't found it as well

Seems like it's deprecated in favour of (the admittedly pretty good now) Lumetri Color.

I didn't see it either. I haven't checked the feature notes for this release but that is where I would look for an answer.
