Hi everyone

In nexts days i´ll be buying a Quadro P1000 and a all new PC (windows 10, intel core i5, 16 GB Ram, and a GTX 1060).

My question is simple, i dont want to buy a Quadro P1000 only for the ray-traced 3D if it will not work...

PD: Very first question on the forum haha

Save your money.

Adobe has done NOTHING to improve ray-tracing since... oh, AE CC 2012, I think.  Instead, you should use C4D Lite, which comes bundled with newer versions of AE.  It has taken over the chores once done by ray tracing, and it works better.

I second what Dave says. The ray-traced renderer has been (mostly) replaced with the C4D renderer in your AE timeline or (for more power), you can use C4D LIte to do some real 3d stuff.

The Quadro card will not help you in AE. Do not get it for AE.
