Question

Easy Ease Not Functioning As Expected

I've created a project where I'm just moving an image around the screen to focus on different parts of the picture and I've used easy ease to make the position movement nicer to look at, I've edited the graphs for the previous sections a bit. However, when I go to make a new key frame with the position values not changed just to create a section where the image does not move, the next key frame becomes automatically easy eased and then there is some animation up and down between the two identical key frames. I don't want the picture to move and I couldn't figure out how to stop the movement. I had done the same thing earlier in the project with no problems. Any ideas?

It works as it always has - unless you have enabled the "Create new keyframes as linear" (can't remeber the correct phrasing off-hand) in the preferences, new keyframes will always respect the interpolation set in the neighboring keyframes, which with an easy ease of course will be conventional Bezier with all the usual effects.

Ah right I see, so i take it there's an option to make the new key frame linear? Would that be under preferences somewhere?

That is correct. It would be a very good idea for you to spend some time learning the basics: Learn AE
