Element 3D UV Mapping

Hello Forum.

I'm practising how to UV map elements around objects in Element 3D. I'm trying to achieve how to wrap a JPEG around a ring shape

but when I choose the settings in the textures panel> diffuse, and add my JPEG, I cannot seem to achieve the desired result as posted in the example.

is it possible to create this type of graphics in Element 3D?

Thank you.

Im getting again closer, but cannot figure how to eliminate from the JPEG text to appear within the ring.

Ive played with the UV settings, I'm sure I'm missing a button setting...

Since this is a third-party product, you might have more luck searching through support/forums over at the VideoCopilot site.

I have mapped the UV mapping co ordinance to cylinder Z, which goes around the ring, but the JPEG gets stretched. and the JPEG can be seen underneath the ring, and also within the interior of the ring. But when I try adjusting the UV repeat or off set, things become more inaccurate. Am I on the right path though getting the result?

And exactly what is the problem? Does your ring even have correct UV coordinates?
