Question

Footage won't import into Mocha from AE

Hey Adobe,

I've been working on a short film, and have several shots that need to be motion tracked.

I have already successfully tracked several shots, but recently I've been having an issue. I've been doing what I normally do, which is have my clip selected + hit animation + track in Mocha AE.

Every other time my footage has seamlessly gone into mocha, I've tracked it, and moved on. But now when I try to bring footage into Mocha from AE, it does not show up.

I'm not sure whats causing this as all the footage was shot on the same camera with the same format. The only thing I can think of was when I tried to open AE before I tracked it, I was asked to sign into my Adobe account.

Please advise!

some video files cannot be imported to Mocha Ae because of codec issues. first, make sure you have Quicktime installed (if on windows, just the essential components is fine). if this does not work, you might need to transcode your footage to other generic codec like Quicktime animation or the safest bet: Jpg sequence.

Quicktime is already installed. Like I said, all the footage is the same and was working totally fine, but now for whatever reason it is not.

I would reinstall QT, and if that does not work and if you are using an up to date version of Ae, I would reinstate Ae.
