I created a character in Illustrator and imported the character's layers into After Effects & then I converted the AI layers into shape layers.
However when I tried to scale up the character (I scaled up the composition all the layers are inside of) the shapes lose the quality???
How can I resize without losing quality?
You would have to use the continuous rasterize layer switch. Since it changes transform order, however, it could totally whack things out, so be prepared that this could take extra work to remedy. Also note that of course having applied any effects may totally negate that workflow since it enforces rasterization and/or the appearance may change...
