I recently followed a video tutorial on face rigging for characters, it uses a script called Joysticks 'n Sliders. I have downloaded this file but when trying to load it in After Effects it says tat the file type is not supported.

Does anybody know where i can find a version for mac? and also how to install and make it work in After Effects?

It would be most appreciated if anybody can help me!

Use the aescripts + aeplugins manager app to install and license all our products 🙂
To install a trial you can select 'Add Trial' from the 'Account' menu

Your comment doesn't really make much sense and I don;t have the time explain why.

In short the script should work in both windows and Mac

The file you downloaded should have come with a pdf instruction file with instruction that really could not be simpler.

If you can;t follow those simple instructions I really don't know what to tell you.

Submit a comment here & ask for help Joysticks 'n Sliders - aescripts.com

If my question does not make sense maybe you should explain why in the future so that i can improve my knowledge of this software.

It's best to be specific.

Rather than saying  "I loaded it into after effects and it said the file wasn't supported"

You might instead say:

I downloaded & extracted the files and placed the .jsxbin into the directory the installation instructions told me to.

But when I restarted After Effects the plugin was not listed in the windows menu like the instructions said it would be.

So I went to File>Scripts>Run Script File and tried to run the .jsxbin file that way but I got an error message saying

it was an unsupported file type.

If you would have said that i could have immediately told you that was because it was a .jsxbin and the Run Script File command doesn not support that file type. Also I could instantly told you that the likely reason you were not seeing the plugin in the Window menu was because you had put it in the wrong place.

When you say  "I loaded it into after effects and it said the file wasn't supported"   Nobody really has a clue what you're talking about.
