Hi, Everyone.

I am new to using Adobe products. We've recently acquired the Adobe Creative Suite in our company and we're using it to create e-learning modules.

So I have a GIF (exported from Powtoon) and I wanted to know how I can remove/ change the background to transparent using After Effects? I have been researching for days now and tried everything I saw online but have been unsuccessful. Help, please. Thank you.

AE doesn't support palette/ index-based transparency. The file needs to be exported to a conventional image sequence with a proper transparency/ Alpha channel from Photoshop's animation timeline or similar. In fact I'm pretty sure the service offers something like that already, so simply choose a different publishing/ download option from there.
