I am looking at buying a HP Probook 640, and I am wondering if I could get After Effects on it.  Any answers and tips will be much apreciated.

    And what is the actual question? Are you concerned about the notebooks technical capabilities or what else?

    Compare the specifications: After Effects System Requirements - Adobe Help Center

    You should be able to figure out if the machine you are looking at fills at least the minimum system requirements. Minimum means AE will load up and you can use it, but don't expect short renders and easy previews with a minimum system.
