I have a core i7 - 16gb of RAM and 8gb of video I have updated windows 10 The problem is that when previewing or doing any work in after effects all the RAM is full. What may be causing this?
In the image I animated a square and consumed almost all the RAM.

It can't download your .jpeg image. Please use "Insert Photos" button.

I could already upload the images.
For example just draw a square and you already use more than 5GB of RAM. The rotoscopy brush uses all the RAM in a few seconds. The entire ram is consumed when processing or previewing any video or graphic. I have erased the RAM with CTRL + SHIFT + / but it fills up again right away when doing a preview.

I have a couple of question:
Does that affect your entire system or is it still as smooth?
How much RAM do you have assigned to Adobe applications in the After Effects Memory preference?

It only affects specific when I use after effects
and also when I use motion graphics in premiere pro.
any other program even heavy games work normally.
I have tried to enable different levels of RAM and it continues the same, I have assigned it from 6 to 12 GB doing tests, but the problem continues.

Try to restore default preference settings:
Also make sure you have all the drivers for your system updated.
