Hi guys,

I'm completely new to Adobe After Effects and I would greatly appreciate all your help!

I recently finished the vector illustration of Cybertruck that I would love to animate. I just finished watching 10+ videos on After Effects basics and trying myself, something is not working right.

I can't seem to figure out what it is but the idea of the animation itself is so simple! Here is the vector graphics: what I want to do is to animate the car bouncing very slightly, not leaving the ground. I tried selecting the top part of the car and moving it down slightly, then I hit "P" and dragged the timeline arrow, however, nothing is changing. I know I am not explaining this completely right as I myself don't quite understand the program that much. Any help would be great!

Start here: Learn AE

That is the official After Effects User Guide. A couple of the beginning tutorials will show you how to set keyframes and create animations. To successfully animate your truck you'll need each element you want to move independently of other components on a separate layer in Illustrator.

After you have gone through the basics of animation get back to us with other questions you may have.
