"Ending" a Radio Wave effect

We are using the Radio Wave effect to create a basic outward circle wave animation. We like how the animation starts at frame 0 with nothing and the cicles start to expand out. What we want is to end the animation later on with no more waves born, but the existing ones finishing their life. I cant figure out if there is a setting which will do that...

Set the "Parameters are set" option to "Each frame" and animate the lifespan from whatever duration to zero at the given point you want it to fade.
