Saber Plug-in Stroke Sequentially

Hello Forum.

I done a search looking if it's possible for a videoco pilot plugin called Saber to do what Trapcodes Redgiant 3D does which is to stroke

Sequentially each text letters, or a specific path, rather than to stroke all paths at once.

This example here using Saber is stroking all the paths at once: Logo Reveal using Adobe Premiere CC 2018 with SFX and Saber Plugin - Akiko Espera - YouTube

And this one here is 3D Stroke Sequentially: AWESOME After Effects Intro: Handwritten Text Reveal with optical flares - YouTube

Im trying to figure out if it's possible with Saber to achieve the stroke Sequentially, or it's specifically used just to stroke paths all at once.

Thank you.

Yes you have to make every mask it's own layer which is so time consuming. I would kill for the ability to target the saber strokes sequentially.

Ok guys, I figure it out.

In order to achieve the stroke sequentially like the one in the 2nd link I've provided as an example.

Each letter needs to be on its own layer, and then once applied saber effect on a solid layer, its blending mode needs to be set

    to screen.

Kind regards. Saber Plug-in Stroke Sequentially

my apologies Damien, I manged to figure out how to stroke an individual letter using the start Offset and End Offset settings. Im trying to figure out, how to put each letter on a solid layer which dont interfere with each new letter which gets stroked.

Hi Guys, thanks for the replies

Damien, I tried the start offset -End offset, altering the amount % on each factor but I cannot get it happening.

Szalems proposal seems to work better, but I bumped into an issue. Saber works with solids, ( also tried adjustment layer) And its getting covered by the text above it. And Saber needs to work having its layer above the text...

The AEs Sequence layers command doesn't work, because it makes each letter appear and then disappear as the next letters comes into effect.

Saber only strokes masks (or text layers) simultaneously. You'll need to split your shapes onto separate layers in order to stroke them sequentially. I'd suggest animating them all at once and then use AE's Sequence Layers command to get them offset from one another.

    Hi

If I understand your question properly, you need to play with the Start Offset and End Offset settings, under the Customize Core heading, in Saber, in order to obtain the result you are looking for.
