I'm uisng 3.4 of AIR sdk for Mac OS X 10.7 and I run:-

${BIN}/adt -launchApp -platform ios -platformsdk ${SIM} -device ios-simulator -appid pims2mobile.ipa

and I get:-

Application is not installed

However, if I manually launch the iOS simulator, the application IS installed. To install the app I used:-

${BIN}/adt -installApp -platform ios -platformsdk ${SIM} -device ios-simulator -package pims2mobile.ipa

When try to uninstall the app with:-

${BIN}/adt -uninstallApp -platform ios -platformsdk ${SIM} -device ios-simulator -appid pims2mobile.ipa

I also get:-

Application is not installed

Why is this? There aren't too many other command line options to choose from.

Hi Chris,

your app id looks incorrect, it should be the id that is provided in the app xml, and not the name of the IPA.

-Thanks

In my app xml file my id is "domain.debug" and if I use that as the appid it still fails to launch. But if I just use "domain" as the appid it launches.

Why is that?

How do you package your application, are you on command line(adt) or Flash Builder/Pro, could be possible that the tool removes the ".debug" part when packaging.
