Is it me or AIR33 Beta is delayed? We are a few days before April and there is no beta version yet. It looks like the 1st quarter release is missed.
The announcement has been made. Harman - Adobe Partnership - HARMAN

quarterly release means end of the month is the end of the quarter
so that would be end of March for the first quarter
some Adobe AIR releases in the past were around 8th of April

This is true, but in most previous versions, we got a beta versions 4-5 weeks before the stable one.
Also the previous years:
2018 - 1st Quarter Stable - 14 March
2017 - 1st Quarter Stable - 13 March
2016 - 1st Quarter Stable - 10 March

yeah OK but ti does not really matter
I could bet those release are planed on "best effort" and other stuff can take the priority
or it could also be "it will be ready when it will be ready"
simply put, that's the developers working on it that decide,
whatever cause the delay (if we can call that a delay)
I'm pretty sure it is for good reason(s)

Well based in previous years, it was always on specific dates (2nd tuesday of every quarter month) so up to now it was planned and not released "when ready".
I guess we will see, it just felt like long time since previous version.

I am also checking the Air beta page almost daily since I was expecting Air 33 to hit early March. I have some hopes that the delay is due to the integration of the Android 64 Bits requirement, of course

Probably.
I guess that if they release v33 with Android 64 bits support, people will tell that they knew and how Adobe is great but if they release without fulfill these requirements will be the end of the world.

I new release just came out: Adobe Labs | Previews, prereleases and beta software from Adobe
The version kept the same (32) and as always I opened the release notes and I'm confused what is new (just a copy and past, changed the release date).
I can identify only a fix on Flash Player.
3..2..1.. for the end of the world (on this foruns).

ld error on Windows when using platformSDK option (AIR-4198796)
This was the fix. There was an issue on compiling for iOS and a lot of ANEs failed, especially Facebook. However still no 33.

Nice, I was waiting for this fix!
No worries about Air 33, they will certainly work on different branches for new features, so just because this is the only change in the release this does obviously not mean this was the only thing they were working on since Feb 20.

You should proof-read your copy. You don't need this first instance of "high-end":
"This is a hi-end super high-end music player."

So it is official. No 1st quarter update for 2019. So next possible date for stable release now is May 9th.

Did they make a statement anywhere about the delay? Obviously it's late since the 1st quarter is over, just curious why you mentioned May 9th would be the soonest and not sometime in April.

There is no mention Flipline. However there used to be a study pattern for AIR released
1. Release of Beta version in the labs, for 4-5 weeks, then
2. Release of Stable version on the 2nd Tuesday of the following month.
So based on that logic, May 9th might be a possible release date if we get a beta early in April.
If this doesn't happen, next possible date is June 13th (2nd Tuesday of the quarter month).

yeah that's some very useful comment you posted there
let me see... about publishing a release
humm first, never do release on monday or friday
then considering the crowd certainly not produce a release on April 1st
now I will wait with anxiety about all those questions why people never do releases on monday or friday
probably gonna make a bingo game about it

zwetan_uk Do you see anywhere in my reply saying that it should be published today? Or any Friday or Monday?
As I said, it is well known, that up to now, we get 1 update every quarter month (March, June, September, December), on the 2nd Tuesday (whatever the date). As you might miss that, Tuesday is not a monday or a friday.
The point is that this quarter we didn't get an update.

Air 33 is not yet here, but at least there is a new non-beta AIR 32 (32.0.0.116) out.

how software release works
first you version your software
when you fix bugs you increase the PATCH and/or REVISION and/or BUILD version number
when you add new features you increase the MAJOR and/or MINOR version number
usually you favor fixing bug over adding new features
the AIR 32.0.0.116 release is the Q1 quarterly release
voila it is official you have it and no it does not have to be a v33

So what you say is, we don't have a Major update for Q1. Just a maintenance / security one with some minor fixes.
Obviously this is not a release for Q1 as it was released in December 5 2018, 4 months ago.

that was 32.0.0.89
32.0.0.116 IS a new release
that's why you have different numbers in the version: to differentiate the two of them
it is not because you don't understand the software release process that you can redefine how it works
Adobe as a software vendor, and like any other software vendor, plan their releases
they decided to do them quarterly
it is not a guarantee of "Major update" whether you like it or not
it is just a guarantee of constant and consistent releases
eg. "people can expect a new release"
they favor security fixes and bug fixing over new features
which is a pretty standard among software professionals
I really don't see where is the problem with all that
