How to run an .air file on android?

Hello everyone,

I have downloaded a .AIR file and would like to load it with AIR for Android.

Unfortunately, Android cannot make sense of the AIR file extension and AIR for Android does not offer a Ui Option to load the file.

How do I go about it?

Kind regards,

Oliver

Here are the steps that I use to run AIR on Android. You can skip a lot of the steps because you aren't packaging an ANE.

But there's two options.

1) Embed the Air Runtime

3) Install AIR from Google Play

Both options are available in the Animate CC UI.

Is the AIR Runtime available on Google Play?

It's an .air files, which would be AIR for Desktop. Only APKs go into Google Play.

I don't think it would be possible to play it on Android, you would want to go back to the original FLA and publish it for Android there.
