There has been a month now since the last update. Shortcuts still don't work if the cursor is in the code window. You need to move focus to somewhere else for CTRL+F or CTRL+S to work. Also the zoom still doesn't get saved. Everytime I open a new file the text is sooo small.
I repeat, this is happening in 21.0.9..

Too many errors after this update.
There are serious errors in the mouth shape after the lip sync function, including a sound import error, that prevent the work from proceeding.

ADOBE seams it's working hard on killing what's left of actionscript and ANIMATE!
FIX the latest update erros. DONT launch such a terrible update again. I had bigger expectations from you guys..

Come on Adobe....

We NEED GPU acceleration and better support for 4K monitors.

Animate is getting slower and more buggy with each update, fixing gpu and 4K support would be better then any other little new feature added.

Is there an ETA for either feature?

Animate is still so broken it's criminal that Adobe would ever change monthly for it. It should be a public trial instead of Adobe scamming people for their money.

There's like a million things, but let me throw this out there:

-Draw something with color on a scene.

-Select linear gradient for a fill.
-Double click one of the colors on the linear gradient so the swatch panel comes up.
-Put the mouse cursor over the scene, and your cursor will be the color sample tool.
-Click the color object you drew on the stage.

It's supposed to sample the color to set the color on the gradient. It doesn't. It also clicks the stage, and performs the function of the tool you have selected.

In addition, this also sometimes removes the fill type drop down, so you cannot set a linear or radial gradient.

Appologies for the experience @exactspace . Just want to understand a bit more on the color picker issue that you are facing.

1. Are you on Mac OS?

2. Is Permissions turned off for Adobe Animate under System Preferences > Security and Privacy > Privacy tab?

If yes, can you please allow Animate in this setting as it is needed for the color picker to work.

Thanks!

Mohan

Hi Mohan. Yes I am using MacOS and the permission is on. The color picker otherwise works as normal, but if you follow the instructions I provided, I don't see why you wouldn't have the same results.

After this last update, when I open scripts for editing, the zoom level is unacceptably too low to be able to read the code. I can use the scroll-wheel to zoom-ion to where the code is readable again, but I have to do this every time I open a script tab.

Hi - The scroll wheel zoom will only temporarily change the font size. You may want to set the desired font size permanantly under Preferences > Edit Preferences > Code Editor > Font size. Once set, this will be applied and remembered across the Animate sessions.

Thanks!

Mohan

The font size is not set permanently.. first you should test this before replying.
Every time i open the same file i have to set it again. Even if i go to preferences!
Also fix the shortcuts.. CTRL+S , CTRL +F are not working if cursor is in the code editor.

There is a critical bug.
Japanese fonts are NOT available.

A lot of keyboard shortcuts are not working. Also the zoom on the code is terrible when i open a file. Have to reset it again and guess what? CTRL+0 not working!
Terrible!
Had a lot of problems due to CTRL+S and CTRL+F not working also!

There are a couple issues with the code-editor (on Mac) in this release.

Specifically...

1. Selecting a block of code and typing doesn't do anything .. at all. It should delete the block of code and start typing/overwriting it.

2. If your cursor is in the editor, you cannot use the Function Keys (F9 at least)

3. There's something funky going on with the quote and parentheses completion - it's not adding it correctly, or at least how it used to.

Any update on these bugs? The code-editor isn't useable so my company had to revert back to 21.0.7 and turn off auto-update on Animate.

Appologies for inconvinience. Issues with 'actions panel' are under investigation for upcoming updates.

This error popped up when trying to import an "aiff" audio file. Never had this error before.

I am having the same issue with all my audio files. In addition, it seems to be defaulting to EVENT audio instead of its usual STREAM format in previous versions when I dial back? Could be related to the update too?
