Question

Animate CC out of memory?

Hello everyone,

I looked to see if this error had been solved and I didn't find that it had. I've read that there are several files that show this error.

While executing main.jsfl the following Javascirpt error occurred.

At line 71 of the file Publish.jsfl

out of memory.

I have a fairly large project that encompasses 3000 frames and I have a bit of animations, nothing fancy like a motion preset.

My project is an interactive kiosk.

The total file size of the project is 53MB.

*I'm using the latest version of Animate.

Is this because I am using motion tweens as opposed to classic?

Can anyone tell me what this means? What can I do to fix it?

first, make sure you're using the latest version of animate:

next, try increasing the js memory by editing your jvm.ini file (which will probably fail).  but quit and restart animate after editing and then test.

next, edit your jsfl to do whatever you're doing to chunks of say 1000 frames.

Hi Kglad,

First of all thank you for responding! It's really nice to know there's quick help.

First time forum user, was using the chat before. I've scoured the forums on this subject but all remain unanswered.

I've been working with Animate for about three months. With that being said, I'm not too familiar with what you're suggesting. I do have the latest version of Animate, I updated it two weeks ago.

All I know about animate is that it produces a .js file and an image sprite sheet that houses all the images.

Prior to this I've never heard about a jvm.ini file, don't know where to find it and Google research hasn't given me the answer.

How do I edit it after I find it?

Is there an Adobe website with instructions?

The chat was so good because the tech could log onto my comp and show me what to do.

When you say edit your jsfl file, we're talking about the js file that animate creates for the project right?

All my pages in the project contain 100-300 frames only.

I'm happy to send my project if needed, it's 55 MB but I was able to send it before.

Thank you so much for the help, I was cruising along until this happened. I bet many other users will benefit from this knowledge also.

what's your os?

are you running an jsfl file or just trying to publish your project?  if you're trying to publish, is it an as3 project?

Windows 10.

Its an html canvas file.

So it's producing one js file as far as I know.

The error happens yes when I try to publish the file.
