Question

Animate keeps crashing for seemingly no reason?

I've started an ActionScript3.0 file, with a reference video embedded on the bottom layer, and a secondary layer where I'll be tracing over.

The specs are: 29.97 FPS, 1920 Width, 1080 Height.

Problem is, every time I scrub past 5 frames in the timeline, the whole program crashes. I've already tried starting a new file, changing all the permissions to 'Read & Write' (I'm on a Macbook Pro), and uninstalling and reinstalling the program. Still, it crashes!

Thanks in advance for anyone who can help me. I'm at a loss.

Apologize for the delayed response as I was away on a long vacation. Are you still facing this issue? Also, like kglad asked you, are you facing an issue with just this one file?

    reset your preferences -

    http://helpx.adobe.com/flash/kb/re-create-preferences-flash-professional.html

(or remove Win:  C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Adobe\Animate CC 2017\ and

                                      C\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Animate\2017\

                            Mac:   /Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Animate CC 2017/ and

                                        /Users/<username>/Library/Preferences/Adobe/Animate/2017/)

    1. did you successfully reset your preferences?

    2. is that the only file that crashes animate?
