Question

Can I disable holding 'CTRL' to temporarily activate the Selection Tool?

I'm using Adobe Flash CS5.5, so it's not exactly the same program, but Animate CC has the same feature and chances are if there is a solution in that program, it'll be similar to the issue in this one.

I recently re-installed Flash after fixing my computer, so my CTRL key is very sensitive now. I instinctively have my finger on this key at all times so I can do

quick CTRL-Zs on a stroke until it looks good, but now freehand drawing has become infuriating due to the constant interruption of the tool change.

Holding CTRL by itself was nowhere to be found in the keyboard shortcut preferences, unless I just didn't look hard enough. Even if it's for Adobe Animate, I'd be really appreciative of some insight on this, so thank you if you have any!

Re-installing Flash made your keyboard more sensitive?

No, sorry. It was fixing my laptop- I removed and replaced the keyboard keys as well as formatting the device.
