Color Picker doesn't work like it used to

The color picker in Animate used to be the best color picker in any Adobe program and would allow you to pick any color you see inside the Animate window including parts of the window itself and more importantly the stroke color from the fill or fill color from the stroke, which now just defaults to whatever color the stage is set to. I loved how fast that was to implement and it's been gone for a while now. Why ADOBE!? Why do you continue to bash those of us that use Animate as an illustration program over our heads?

    I don't know what you're talking about.

But the stage color, you can choose No color.

And when you add color to the color palette, you can quickly set the color in the stage or other colors.

He means they destoryed the color sampler from previous versions. The latest only allows you to sample from a fill directly, or from a bitmap as if the bitmap was a texture/fill itself. Not the actual color DISPLAYED on the bitmap, as it used to do. Or even from another window outside of Animate. So if you are referencing an image - you used to be able to click and drag off of the fill color and over to any window to sample whatever color is displayed on those pixels.
Now it just gives you grey, 99% of the time (or just the actual fill color or bitmap texture).
Stupid move and now adds way more time to establish colors from ref.

    And yet still no solutions

no one could understand what the op was complaining about so there was/is no solution because there was no understandable problem.

anyway, what specific problem are you seeing?
