Hi..

Is there a way to get rid of the save dialog box in filereference.save()?

I want to specify the filename and location rather then letting the user do it..

thx in advance

cheers

Correct answer kglad

that's almost certainly not possible because of security issues.

Hi Angel,

did you found a way to "specify the filename and location rather then letting the user do it"

I want to do it in AIR, already looked up the whole File and Filestream thing but did not find anything that helped (found something that created a .txt document, but I need to save pictures...

If you can help me with this!!!

Many thanks

Jan

You can't do that in the browser, but you can with standalone applications like with AIR.

thx for the reply..

I m using flash projector .exe. Is that possible?
If not, how do u go about doing this with AIR?

My mistake, you can't do that with FileReference. Look into the "File" and "FileStream" classes of the AIR API. Keep in mind you will need either at least Flash CS4 or the Flex SDK in order to target AIR executables.
