Question

How can I export a flash file to a SWF format without losing quality?

I exported an .xfl project file from adobe after effects and opened it on adobe flash, it works perfectly and the quality is great.

The problem is that I need the clip in .swf and when I export it from flash it loses its quality and I can't find how to improve it.

This is the image inside adobe flash:

And this is the same image after being exported as swf:

Do you have any idea on how I can fix this?

Thanks!

hey

Try to change the options from the properties > publish settings,then try to edit it from different places are related to the images like:

spritsheet, and try to select the highest options for the images

He had mentioned it be for SWF, which would rule out spritesheet issues.

If you don't have any bitmaps, don't convert anything to bitmap just so you can set the quality setting. Vector graphics should be perfect quality.

Did you put in the line of code?:

stage.quality = "best";

You don't want to set stage quality to best if for real-time rendering, which he might be doing.

Maybe he accidentally set the quality to Low in Flash player.

Check bitmaps it the library, look at their properties and see if they are set to Lossless and not JPEG.

Also, put this code in frame 1:

stage.quality = "best";

Thanks so much for your response.

I noticed in the library that what I have is a movie clip not a bitmap.

I figured how to convert it to bitmap, but when I do it I lose the motion, I just get a still image.

Do you know how to fix this?
