how do i fix this without losing my work

please help im getting desperate ive been working on this for like an hour and a half and i forgot to save once cuz my brain is one atom i dont wanna lose this

    i'm not sure what you're asking but if you're looking for an auto-recovery file open AutoRecoverFilenames.txt** and see if there was a saved file and, if so, check the folder location listed

    mac:

    Users/<username>/Application Support/Adobe/<animate/flash version>/en_US/Configuration/

    okay yeah i should probably explain what happened this image is confusing (abuse removed by moderator)
     
    i was drawing and then the whole window just went black so i tried to save but that window was just blank so i clicked off of it to see if i could fix the black screen thing and then a blank error message popped up and i couldnt click off of it but for some reason i forgot to save one time so i dont wanna close adobe cuz im 99% sure im gonna lose all my work so i dont know what to do

    ok i tried that and it fixed the black screen thing but now the error message says "unable to create image buffer" and when i press ok it just pops up again, do you know what to do about that?

    reset your animate preferences, https://helpx.adobe.com/animate/using/set-preferences.html

     

    if that fails,


    uninstall animate including preferences, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-remove-app.html
    restart your computer
    use the desktop app to reinstall animate
