how do i import an svg in flash 8?

does anyone know how to import an svg into the stage in flash 8? i tried dragging and dropping the svg into the stage but it doesent show the svg

Convert SVG to a readable vector format in an application such as Inkscape:

Flash 8 does not know what a SVG is.

To proceed, you need to convert your SVG to something that Flash 8 can read.

i did import the converted file (.ai) though, and it still gave me an error though

When exporting the SVGs, try to convert them to the lowest possible version, for example - Illustrator 3.

it seems a lot simpler to convert to a bitmap and then convert to a vector in flash 8, if that's important.

for svgs, you have two ways to import and you reported that you tried them both and they both failed.  that's the end of the svg story.

@n. tilcheff, suggested a work-around (using a different image format).  if that's not satisfactory, then you're out of luck.
