Question

How do you change from scene to scene?

I want to have multiple scenes in my interactive animation that I'm making with Animate. I am not sure how to do this. I see that in my .fla document it says "scene 1", but I don't know what to do from there.

Forget Scenes. Just use multiple .fla for each scene. Leaves less room for errors and the file size is smaller. then you can export them all and edit them together in premiere.

scenes are strictly for convenience during creation and possibly export of videos.  otherwise, they serve no purpose and don't even exist after publication.

to create addition scenes use the window>scene panel and click the + button to add scenes.  you can change their names by double clicking the scene name and there are a few other things you can do with that panel:

    Hi.

If it's an AS3 document, you need to use the Scene panel (Window > Scene (Shift + F2)) to add, duplicate, remove or rename scenes.

Then, in your code, you just have to use the gotoAndStop or gotoAndPlay methods like this:

gotoAndStop(1, "Scene 2"); // frame or label | scene name
