Question

How to animate text along a path

Hello,

I need to animate text coming in from the side and then follow a path.

I've tried converting the text to a symbol but wasn't the effect I wanted.

Any advice would be helpful. Thank you.

Hi.

Animate doesn't have the ability to create text fields on paths. You can suggest this feature here.

For the animation, you'll need to:

- Break the text field apart (Ctrl/Cmd + B);

- Turn each character into a symbol;

- Create a guide layer;

- And animate the newly created instances using the guide.
