Line tool lagging, how do I go back to the most privative version of animate?

Hey. So ive been using adobe animate for about 5 years now, and have upgraded laptops 2 times since then but it always seems like no mater how much more processor speed or ram I upgrade too Animate ALWAYS has lagging issues.

Now whenever I try to use the line tool or shapes tool it lags like i'm trying to process nasa level equasions. I was looking how to go back to more primitive versions of flash (since all the tools I use have been around since it was adobe flash) and coulnd't find it on the pro design tools website? Since creative clowd will only let me download 23 and up is there any way to go back to the most privitive version of adobe animate?

Please help as I'm seriously worried I'm gonna have to start shilling out another 6 grand or so a year on a new comp just to keep up with the ever increasing demands of the newest adobe software when I only use it in the most basic tools like pencil, shapes, and of course the layer linking.

Honestly the effects in my videos could be created by oldschool adobe flash

Some time ago I did post a link to the CS6 install file on Adobe's servers, but was scolded by kglad for posting it, so I won't post it again. You should be able to use the forum search and find that thread.

CS6 is the best Flash to date. When used with AS2 documents it is virtually bug-free and extremely stable. Its performance is smooth and up to 10 times faster than that of Animate.

my apologies.  we (adobe experts) were told about adobe's policy change (from making previous version installers available to not available) and we were instructed to stop providing links.

this occurred several months ago.  recently there's been some ambiguity (about this) displayed by adobe employees.  so, go ahead and post.

I'm sorry to hear they put that restriction on you, that sucks.  I do appreciate the help you can and have given me in the past though! I just hate how companies are trying to do this "you can never own it, just rent it" kind of thing.

some things adobe does provide a profit benefit and generate bad publicity.  presumably someone at adobe is paying attention and deciding it's worthwhile.

but some decisions actually decrease subscription subscription sales and generate bad pr.  it's hard to imagine anyone paying attention when we see that.
