Move layers up or down in Timeline with keyboard shortcut?

Hi, I am in desperate need for a shortcut, that can move a layer up or down in Timeline, like it's possible in Photoshop.

I couldn't find any command or extension that does it.

Anybody? thanks.

Exactly, all I asked about, was a way to move layers with keyboard shortcuts. I know why I need it - 12 years of Flash animation production supervision and 2 years of teaching Flash is enough for me to know why I am asking  - trust me. If I would start explaining everything I do and how, we would never get to the point. It was one simple question, without any need to undermine the way our workflow has to be run...

Ok then, well it's not currently possible... Suggest the 'feature' here.

I couldn't figure out what the keyboard shortcuts were for Photoshop, but found them online (command [ and ]). I seem to have managed all these years without know that!

Do you need to move layers much? Is there something about just dragging them to the right layer that doesn't work?

I create and move a new layer in average once per 40 seconds when I create builds of new characters - so yes, I use this often.

living without it is possible, but knowing you could do it easier, when you really need it doesn't make life any better

In general, I work a lot with shortcuts, because it gets things done much faster, than a mouse. Situations, where I find myself using the same function too often, I really prefer to have a shortcut. I can also program sets of shortcuts on my Wacom tablets to get things done even faster.

I can tell you already 2 different situations where I really need this:

    1. I am creating a color layer under an outline layer. I create a new layer, but it's on top by default - I need it below. I have to drag it each time with the mouse. Now imagine I have a character with 15-20 symbols - each one of the symbols is now an outline, and I need to add color layers in each one of them. I could program a Command with a dedicated shortcut just to create the new layer and move it down, but I can't...

    2. I have just distributed symbols of a character on layers, but some of them aren't in the right spot. I can't immediately see on stage what is where exactly and to put them in place, I need to go up or down with each layer a step at a time, just to see quickly it's position. doing that with a mouse is more hassle.

    3. If it exists in Photoshop for similar reasons, why not have it in Flash? I like that Adobe has a cross-software interface integration - it makes life easier, but then some basic functions just don't work - don't see the reason for that..

Why would you separate the color from the line? It's SO much complicated than it needs to be... Also why wouldn't you just move the character layers via dragging them? You already have to select the layer, you might as well just drag it while you're there. Mapping a keyboard command is now a second step and actually takes longer. you have to now take take your hand off of that evil mouse and now go to your keyboard to find the keys to move the layers up or down. It's an extra step! Finally why wouldn't you just click on the art that's in the wrong place? Now you instantly know where it is on the stage and what layer it's on.

doesn't look doable with shortcuts or jsfl.
