New to JavaScripts - Use Animate or GWD for Google ads?

Hey there, tried to google it, but I'm not sure what to choose making Google Display Ads:

Adobe Animate or Google Web Designer?

I do favor Animate, but I do fear not knowing enough code that I need for i.e. mouse events. Or that it is working in Animate but not for Google Ads.  Could I use GWD to get to the javascript codes for events and use it in Animate? Or where do you get the codes from? That's still confusing me. Is there an official list, plug-ins? 😄

Thanks,

Julia

Hi.

I'm not a GWD user, but I think it's safe to assume that Animate is way more powerful when it comes do drawing and animating and I think it also gives you more possibilities when coding.

Another important difference, I think, is that GWD creates objects using the full DOM while Animate creates objects for the canvas using CreateJS. You can, of course, go outside the canvas using components or manual coding in Animate if needed.

To sum up: GWD is probably easier and more limited. Animate is probably harder but more versatile.

Thanks João.

I just saw that Animate also has a Code Wizard :)) that makes me more confident now to go with Animate. Thanks for mentioning CreateJS and DOM - helped me in my research!

Cheers
