Question

Option for UI Scaling

Why does Adobe Animate look so small on my laptop? Both Photoshop and Illustrator automatically scale to 150% on my Surface Go's, high-resolution (1800x1200).

Does anyone know if they will ever add an option to manually (or automatically) increase the UI scaling? I am not interested in changing my native screen settings just for 1 app.

The top image is what it looks like on my laptop with the default 100% UI scaling. The bottom image is an exaggeration of what it should look like at 150%.

This question has been up since 2018 and there is still no answer? What are we paying for?

Indeed, what are we paying for???

Animate 2022 or 2023 is useless with a freeware like UI with gigantic buttons and labels that are not readable and cut off.

I just want to keep using Animate 2018 but Adobe CC doesn't allow me to have it on my computer. It uninstalles Animate 2018 automatically and gives me as oldest option version 2022. And the original Animate 2018 or 2019 does quit without an error message when I start the program.

And for this I'm paying every month!

adobe allows older versions on your computer.

animate versions that crash are usually caused by corrupted preference files.

user interface problems are usually caused by os scaling.

Can you check out the solution in this post How to disable High DPI scaling in Animate and let us know if it helped?

Thanks,

Preran

Hi Preran,

Unfortunately, that did not work. Everything is still very small (100%)

Thank you for letting me know. Let me ask around to see if there are other solutions I am not aware of.
