Problem with Lip Sync and Layer Parenting in Adobe Animate

Hi everyone,

I'm currently working on an animation in Adobe Animate and ran into an issue with combining lip sync and parenting.

Here's the situation:
I have a character with multiple layers, and I’ve set up parenting between them (Photo1). Now, I want to apply automatic lip sync to the Head layer, but when I do this, it seems to override or interfere with the parenting setup. The parented layers to Head no longer follows the Head movement properly.

My goal is to have the Head layer move slightly up and down while my character is talking (Mouth layer is also using lipsync) while other layers(Eyes and Browns) are still following the parented motion of the Head layer.

Is there a workaround or a best practice for combining lip sync and parenting in Adobe Animate? I don't want to animate each frame manually.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance.

All facial features should be nested inside the head symbol, which is run as a synced timeline.

Lipsync is done internally, inside the head symbol.

I’ve nested all facial features into the Head symbol (Photo2). The Mouth layer is lipsynced and works correctly on the main timeline. I still don’t understand how this is supposed to help me move the Head using lipsync while preserving the parenting of other layers — in the video, you’re moving the character manually, frame by frame. I’ll show the effect I created manually (Film1). I’d like the movement of the mouth and head to be animated using lipsync.

If you expect auto lipsync to animate your character, your expectations are unrealistic.
