Size down and Selection bug

i don't know if this has ever happened to anyone before but when i size down, it sizes up but when i size up, it doesn't size down. i've tried restarting my pc and saving as a different project. does anyone know how to fix this?

1. that's incorrect. (though there may not be one compatible with your computer, especially if it's old.)

A shortcut way to reset the preferences is to launch Animate, then immediately hold down the command-option-shift keys, until you see a dialog asking if you want to reset preferences. I don't know for sure what it would be on Windows, perhaps Ctrl-Alt-Shift?

to reset preferences: press and hold Control+Alt+Shift (Windows) or Command+Option+Shift (Mac OS) as you start Animate.

but that usually fails (especially for users that have a corrupted preference) to reset the preferences and requires manual confirmation* to ensure preferences were actually reset.
