SWF File blank after importing AN File into AE

Hi there,

Could someone please help me?

I have created an animation in Animate and brought it into Affect Effects via the "File >Import > File" option. All of the SWF Files work except for one. The faulty SWF File is blank. I also tested the faulty file in Flash Player with the same result.

My Animate layer within the faulty SWF File does have the Camera Tool applied to it. However there are other SWF Files that contain camera moves and they work fine. I did try the advice in the below thread, but I lost my camera moves by following "Modify > Document > (Uncheck) Advanced Layers Mode.

Any ideas?

Kind regards,

Iota.

Hi - If you are importing swf files into After Effects then please ensure 'Optimize for After Effects' check box is selected in Publish Settings of Adobe Animate before publishing to preserve the Camera effects and then import such swf files into After Effects. If you are using the latest version of Animate and After Effects then you can directly import fla files into After Effects and this optimization is applied automatically.

Thanks!

Hi Mohan,

Thank you for the reply. Yes, I am using the latest versions of AE and AN, and the check box for Optimize... was ticked.

After further investigation, I found that hidden layers caused the error within the missing animations. Initially, this wasn't apparent as the missing animations displayed and functioned correctly in AN's Playback, Test Movie, and Export to Video/Media functions.

Thank you for your input, and I hope that someone else benefits from my investigation.

Kind regards

Iota.
