How can we see the symbol clips in your animation without going through: control > test the animation

Switch the Symbol Instance type to Graphic.

      Hi again, mate,

       

      Terminology can be a bit confusing, but it's been like this for decades, so impossible to change.

       

      Use Graphic Symbols for everything that is not intended to be controlled by code, i.e. Graphic is the type of symbol used nearly 100% in character animation. It is very versatile and you have full control over how it plays and syncs.
