does the error occur when testing a new fla saved to your desktop that has no content?
Copy link to clipboard
Copied
No, the error occurs as soon i opens the worked creative design file making about 16 layers playing for 12secs.
sometimes it gives you the GDI status error and says to send report, yes/no, closes the tool. weirdly!

NO, when testing a new fla saved which has content. indeed when and as soon the file dropped in to open, or sometimes fortunately when you're trying to export any asset from the file (99% rare).

the error does not occur with a new fla saved to the desktop, correct?

@kglad The animate closes/crushes down: On every action, opening new/old file, creating a file, etc.
The application is now unusable.

contact adobe support via chat. there are 2 ways to contact adobe; chat and twitter (now x):
chat:
if you have or want to purchase a subscription, use a browser that allows popups and cookies
and click here, https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html?rghtup=autoOpen
in the chat field (lower right), type AGENT
be patient, it can take quite a while to reach a human.
twitter/x:
tweet @AdobeCare
p.s. if you're contacted by anyone (via email or private message), it's much more likely to be a scammer than an adobe representative.

Yes getting the same thing myself just on loading a tutorial. Brand new to the software. Not a great start.

This was also happening to me and I believe it has something to do with the Asset tab on the right. I'd get the error on every letter I typed in the search panel or any assets I clicked on. I found another thread on reddit talking about the same issue and here is the solution that worked for me (although I have no idea why this works):
1. Open Animate
2. Open Windows Task Manager (right-click on the task bar and select "Task Manager")
3. On the left, select "Details"
4. Locate "Animate" and click on it, once
5. On the Column Header "Name", right-click and select "Select columns"
6. Scroll down and check the box next to "GDI objects" and click "OK"
7. Restart Animate
Again, I have no idea why this works. I think this just adds a column to the task manager view but the error has stopped almost completely since. (Even the one time on startup has stopped appearing)
Hope this helps.
