Question

Why a RECOVER-file on each save?

Since the last patch, Adobe Animate CC 2019.2 does save a RECOVER-file on each save. I mean what logic is behind it to have a duplicate of the just saved file. Any way to get rid of that superstupid beheavior?

untick auto save in the edit>preferences panel.

Having no autosaves is clearly not the goal, it should just delete the RECOVER-file when a fresh save is done.

Anyway thanks kglad =)

Hi - As part of save time optimization, now the recovery file gets created via disk copy as soon as the file is saved for the first time (if the file is not saved but it reaches the trigger then it will create a recovery file in the app preferences location). In addition when the next recovery triggers it will perform an incremental save on top of the auto recovery file which is already created and hence will take much lesser time compared to writing down everything from scratch. The auto recovery file will be deleted when the file is closed but will remain if the app crashes. Hope this helps.

Thanks!
