why cant i hear the audio from anything other than the first frame?

i have a voiceover i am trying to animate, and i cant skip to a frame to hear one word (i am playing the animation) i just hear nothing, and have to go back to the first frame to hear anything. i am a beginner.

click the sound layer frame 1

check the properties panel

what do mean by "skip a frame"?

are you trying to pause your sound for one frame (which is doable but likely to be unsatisfactory)?

i mean when i am looking at a seperate frame in the timeline, sorry if that wasnt very obvious

if i go from

and play i hear the music,
but if i go to

and play the animation, i hear nothing

set your sound's sync property to stream, not event.
