"Estimated Time to Open" Increasing Indefinitely

Hello all. I’m reaching out here because I don’t know what to do anymore. I am working on a large audio project in Adobe Audition, and as of a week ago the session is no longer opening. When opening the “estimated time remaining” goes down to 10 seconds, but then slowly and indefinitely increases. This also happens with backups and old versions of the project. I have tried restarting my computer, re-installing Audition with the Cleaner Tool, turning off my plug-ins, and checking all the permissions. I had to force quit the application.

I will take ANY advice, I’m pretty upset by this. Thank you!

I tried to get my system information and the error report but I'm not sure how to upload it.

I'm on a Macbook Pro 2023.

Sonoma 14.3

Adobe Audition 25.3.0.71

You did say you would take ANY advice, so here goes...
I am assuming that your media exists on your local hard drive - if it doesn't that is already an issue
Try moving the media for this session to another location (it wouldn't hurt to make a backup of the session just in case) and then try and open the session.
If the session opens then close it without saving the session and then copy SOME of the audio back to the original location.
Keep repeating this until such time as the issue re-appears

The assumption here is that there is an issue with one or more of the media files and/or the location of the files

This will prove or eliminate this as the issue

Just a thought

That's actually more or less what I did and ended up finding the "corrupted" files that was stopping audition from opening. I appreciate you typing that out for me!
