Hi everyone,
We are using Adobe Audition CS6 on 1 computer (windows 10 - 16 go ram, year 2020).
That computer has 4 different Windows user accounts. Each user account has Administrator rights.
Any user can access and use Adobe Audition CS6, it's been functionning just fine for months on this machine, and for years on an older machine, which was upgraded last year.
Since yesterday, when using Audition CS6 from 1 specific windows user account, the program won't open, while it works like a charm on all 3 other windows sessions.
When opening Audition, there is a message about a previous work session that ended unexpectedly and we are presented with several options : 1) continue, 2) delete or 3) cancel that session.
Whichever option we pick, Audition CS6 seems to be opening (it shows the basic workspace), then shuts down.
Again, this is only happening on 1 windows user account and this is the very first time in years of using that way that this has been happening.
I've tried rebooting the computer, accessing Task manager and ending some background programs, etc. I've also tried to find a similar issue and solution online, with no luck.
Please do not recommend to use newer cloud versions, or do not tell me that that the multi windows user is causing the problem. We've been using it like that for years without one single problem.
Please help ! Best to you Audition geeks.

It is not unknown for a single user account to get corrupted. The simplest answer to this is to ditch that account, and set up a new one with a different name for that user. There's a very good chance it will work fine after that. Since user accounts are complex, as are the links that Audition has into the OS, the chances of actually finding out the real cause of this are extremely remote - much quicker to accept the reality and create a new user.
