I just got a notice from my ISP that I am nearing my monthly data limit which I have never done before. I looked at the days that I have high usage (over 100 GB) were all days that I was recording and editing my podcast. These are all under 20 minutes and the final file is around 400k. Does audition use the cloud and this usage is caused by that?

There are only two things that Audition uses internet access for; the first is a quick trip to authenticate your copy (via the CC app) which is virtually nothing in terms of usage. The second, if it's set to do this, is that your session file (the .sesx one) is backed up via the cloud, and that's pretty small too - only a bit of data about your session, and none of the audio files, at the period you've set it to. And you aren't obliged to do this; you can set up your backup to happen locally instead. So no, not inherently Audition.
If, on the other hand, you are using a file sharing service like Dropbox, (or even the CC shared storage) and you've used the Dropbox folder for your file storage, it will, by default, back this up to the cloud because it's a linked system. And that could get expensive in data terms - it's really not a clever thing to do. With any system like this, you should do all your work locally and only shift final versions of files to the cloud, rather than intermediate versions, or work in progress.
So no, it's not Audition - but it could be the way you're working. Really, we'd need more information.

That is probably it. Thank you!

Hi,
Audition itself is not a Cloud based App and per default it is not storing any data in the Cloud. However if you are saving your Files locally and maybe syncing it to a Cloud based Service as Steve mentioned before and the intervals are short enough between the syncing it could climb up, because every Time a File would be edited/changed and after that synced into the cloud your ISP data would climb up. So maybe check the Settings of your System and what you synced at those dates.
