Hi There,

I'm running into an issue where during playback a track will just stop playing the audio. It will keep going and then pick back up after a few seconds but will then happen again.

Session info:

4-Tracks w/ effects

4 Mic-buses w/ effects

48000 32-bit

running on 2920 Mac Mini 16GB RAM

Have you tried pre-rendering the effects?

Do you mean applying them via the waveform?

If so, no, I'm trying to be as non-destructive as possible.

No - pre-rendering is non-destructive. If you have the effects in the effects rack, you'll notice a little lightning bolt at the top of it:

Pre-render track.JPG

Clicking on that will pre-render the track. Depending upon what effects you've used, this might take a few seconds, but it means that all the effects processing is done before playback starts. And if you want to alter anything, you can - just re-render it again afterwards. Pre-rendering often makes a major difference to the way playback proceeds, especially if there's any heavy-lifting reverb applied, so it's worth a go.
