Audio files always being opened by Audacity

Hello, 

The audio files on my computer are by default being opened by Audacity; I have changed it by telling Explorer to 'always open Mp3 files with' Windows Media Player, but after a while it goes back to automatically using Audacity.

Is there a way to stop Audacity from behaving like this? I have looked into the settings but not found anything...

There are no settings within Audition that affect this at all - because it's something that the OS regularly screws up. Telling Explorer to use the same app each time is something that it comprehensively ignores; have a look here for suggestions.
