Audition Expands Timeline When Importing Video Previews

It appears there is a technical issue when importing video footage into Audition CC 2022. When I import a video, it is duplicating frames in between frames, which is expanding the timeframe from the original 02:29 to 02:95. I had the same issue with a few other projects. This desyncs my sound effects.

I looked into the settings for Audition and then I also tried to export different video formats from After Effects, Premiere, and Media Encoder. I used H.264 and Apple Prores 4444. All of them have the same results. When checking the frame rate, all export and sequence options in all apps are set to 29.97 FPS. How do I prevent Audition from expanding the video preview timeline?

In the Premiere screenshot, the timeline is correct. Audition shows the incorrect duration of video.

What is the audio sampling rate set to in Audition? Does it match the audio sampling rate in your vide?
