None of the other suggestions worked for me and is irritating.  I cant export a single file, either.  It comes out the correct length of time, but no audio. Newest version of this crappy software.

Since you haven't told or shown us exactly how you've set this up - or even whether you're running on a Mac or a PC, we can't tell you what you've done wrong. And that will be the case; you'll have a configuration error somewhere. If that wasn't the case, then everybody would be complaining about it, and they aren't.

In multitrack view, there are a number of possibilities. The most common one is that either track outputs, or indeed the Master output, are incorrectly routed. With the Master output, if you have the output set to none, then even though you won't hear anything, the meters will still give you an apparent output - but you'll get a silent file. To check the status of everything, it's easiest to use the Mixer tab; the errors are relatively easy to spot there, as a rule.

I don't know what I've done.  I can't get playback in multitrack or waveform.  Im on PC.  Don't know the easiest was to show you what I have going on.  I was a little flustered when I typed the question, so I apologize.  I haven't had this happen before.  I attached a screenshot of the file and audio hardware settings.  I know I screwed it up, but just don't know where.  Thanks!

Really do need a shot of the mixer to see the routing...

Ok, here is the shot of the mixer.  I believe this is what you were asking for?

There's nothing obvious wrong with that*, but if you try to play the mix with the mixer panel open, firstly does it play okay, and secondly (importantly) does the meter in the Master channel work?

*except that it isn't normal to feed the output directly to headphones. Generally if you're doing a mix or an export, you'd send it to the output marked 'default', but I don't think that this should stop it working.
