Audition freezes when trying to open session file after closing and reopening Adobe Audition

I'm having a problem recently where any multitrack project I make cannot be opened after I close the app. Audition runs perfectly fine when I'm making the project, but once I save and close, it stops responding and goes rainbow wheel every time I try to reopen any project.

I'm working from a MacBook Pro M1, Audition is up to date, and my internal SSD has plenty of space, I've even tried saving projects to both my local drive and two separate external drives with the same results. I know it's an issue with my own computer because copies of the projects will open on other computers but not mine.

Do you have any tips on how to fix this? I've already rebooted and installed a fresh copy of Audition. Not sure what else to do.

@SteveG_AudioMasters_ Thanks to all your posts in the Forum, I found out how to read the Logs and find out where the problem was.

I had an error reading file `Audition23Recovery.xml` I found this file in ˜/Library/Preferences/Adobe/Audition/23.0 and noticed it had 0 bytes. I deleted it and after that, once I opened Audition, it was recreated, and everything worked since then.

Thank you very much.

Did you do the installation replacement using the CCcleaner tool?
